Science: More than just a class you forgot about

If there’s one area that I’m 100% unqualified to discuss, it is science.  Now in my defense, I have a community college biology class under my belt so I’m really only 99.9% (.1% margin of error of course) unqualified to elaborate on science– so let’s begin.

The True Love Conundrum

I’m a single man in my late 20s, which means I often hear the phrase, “Don’t worry, there’s someone out there for you.” Friends and family mean this to be inspiring and uplifting. The problem is, I find that notion exceptionally off-putting.

Think about it for a second. There is someone you may or may not have met yet, that you know nothing about, who may be within shouting distance of you right now, that is your soul mate. That once you connect with this person, the game is effectively over and you have no say in it. That’s unnerving to me, and kind of makes me want to avoid this sociopath at all costs. It’s what I call the True Love Conundrum.
